McShurley On Next Step After Being Mayor

The morning following she lost her offer to win a second term as leader of Muncie, Sharon McShurley chuckled when asked depending on if she could ever consider getting once more into politics.

"You're soliciting that from someone who lost a decision less than 24 hours back," McShurley stated Wednesday morning from the burb lobby office that should be hers until Dec. 31. "I think one entryway closes and a different opens. I took a conviction based move running for chairman. I'll leave this office regarded to serve the cooperative. It's a prerogative to serve a cooperative such as Muncie."

The Republican, who lost in Tuesday's race to Democrat Dennis Tyler, wasn't totally without intensity regarding her rout, then again.

"We've other side Muncie preferred," she expressed. The general population can need to see if the following organization can move this on or assuming that it does a reversal to the way it was."

The chairman, who refered to her exceptional association with businesses and monetary improvement officials in the midst of her fight, noted that Tyler is a retired union firefighter who gets a charge out of the backing of arranged work.

"The urban area will have a genius-union leader swaying ensembles to approach the cooperative," she expressed. "I wish him fortunes."

McShurley, who won decision in 2007 in a lawful combat with Democrat James Mansfield, lost on Tuesday to Tyler, a state agent and retired firefighter, by a vote edge of 7,820 to 6,032.
